August 27, 2022An excellent guide made this excursion memorable. After nearly two weeks in Costa Rica we had still not seen a Sloth. - Our guide was Alberto and he was a credit to this tour company. There's not much history, interesting facts or uniqueness. Just more of a point and walk tour. Definitely not a hike!
Our tour was supposed have lunch included, but it finished before lunch. The tour guide had a few funny jokes but not extremely ensightful.
What was described as a half day tour left us stranded outside the gates of the park 10 minute before our agreed 1130 cut of point.
We had to walk back to our hotel for an hour.
Which is OK, but we wasted about 40 minutes looking for our guide, ringing the office and another 15 mins to get an answer...
When someone says a half day tour, I'd expect the tour to last at least till lunch. This tour ended by 1030 at the beach. We didn't even cover the full park of Manuel Antonio. Tour guide didn't even come near the mangroves or explained anything about them.
Apaling experience.
August 2, 2022Our guide Warren was super helpful launching us from a rocky cove. That was the scariest part, but once at sea, the waves felt awesome and the water was... read more beautiful - an emerald green in some coves.
We tied up and snorkeled for 20-30
Minutes then stopped briefly on a small beach. He provided water and pineapple.
After Paddling back to starting point we were taken to a cafe for amazing local food.
The only drawback IMO is being wet,
Sweaty and sticky for so long. I suggest taking a full set of dry clothes to enjoy lunch and ride back to hotel. You can change at the restaurant. Start in swimwear as there is no changing room at launch point.
July 15, 2022Alan C. blew our expectations out of the water. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he treated us like familia. His knowledge on ecology gave us... read more a unique perspective. He was thorough, fun, and found as many animals as he possibly could for us. You could tell this is his passion. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was also funny and friendly. The way that he led the tour made our whole group friends by the end of it. We can’t recommend him enough.
August 19, 2022I would like to recommend our guide Karla. She is very good at spotting the animals; fully fluent in English; very knowledgeable; and, generally, just a very pleasant person!
March 7, 2022Therapeutic, relaxing, breathtaking tour! Hugo was an AMAZING, friendly, fun and hard-working host that made sure everyone was enjoying their time and making the most of their experience. We learned... read more cool facts about wildlife, and even spotted an eel jumping over the water!
We kayaked with our small group through the water, and saw shimmering fish when we snorkeled.
The only criticism we had is that the tour was heavily understaffed. It was just one person making sure everyone was helped on/off the kayaks, keeping us safe the entire time, and moving up the heavy equipment, and that felt like a lot of work for just one worker to be doing.
Despite this, our guide Hugo was still incredibly friendly and happy to work with no complaints. He was one of our favorite tour guides this vacation!!Anva K

Our guide Alan knew every detail from spiders to colorful crabs to the more famous sloths, squirrel and white face monkeys etc. He kept us entertained the whole way. Our driver Pedro also had a "spotter's eye" for locating wildlife along the way - made half a dozen unplanned stops to see toucans, slots, monkeys and other things of interest. The Park tour is well done by foot and features boardwalks and white sand emerald green warm water beaches for a quick dip before the return home. Highly recommend this tour company for a full day of fun and wonder.

I loved how you... read more could tell he appreciated every aspect of nature even though this is his home 24/7. We even got to stop on the roadside on our way to the horseback riding to see a pair of scarlet macaws! It was a nice experience.
Note: horseback riding is like cycling - you’ll be sore the next day. Also, I trust the horses are being cared for but I couldn’t help but feel bad for them as we hit rockier roads. I think they were thirsty during our trip. Regardless, their stable was clean and it was a unique experience! I wanted to ride horses at least once in my life and what better time to do it than in Costa Rica!?
