Who we are
Nature and adventure tours, nationwide
Tucanes Tours is headquartered in Manuel Antonio on the Central Pacific, with a second office near the SJO airport in San José / Santa Ana. From those two bases we run a wide range of tours, transfers and shuttle services across Costa Rica.
Our home turf is Manuel Antonio and Jacó, where most tours leave with hotel pickup included. Wherever you are staying, we can usually get you on the trail, the water or the road the same week.
We also specialize in incentive groups, meetings, custom itineraries and cruise-ship excursions, with a dedicated reservations team for larger manifests.
Our story
Family owned and operated since 1992
In the 1950s, José Antonio Fallas, the family patriarch, arrived at a then-unknown beach as a young man with more nerve than money. He built some of the first cabins, the first hotel and the first restaurant in Manuel Antonio, right on the sand.
Don José Antonio is no longer with us, but his legacy is the reason we are still here. In 1992 his children, Nuria, Manuel, Anel and Christian, founded Tucanes Tours and turned the family's love of this coast into a tour company.
More than 30 years later, you are still booking directly with the family. When you reach out, you talk to the people who will be on the boat, the trail or the river with you.
